Place in transformation (intra)

18+ years of age. Queer-Kink-Crip Party.

Friday 16.5. 21:30 - 03:00

How do I feel free, strong and sexy? Who says what sexiness is? And when will we as a society finally destroy (beauty) standards? With exemplary self-empowerment, Messy encourages soft-sexy togetherness. A danceable playground for queers, crips, kinksters and people who love them (allies). All the artists playing music for the evening define themselves as queer-crip. We'll kick off the evening with Cochon de Cauchemar and the performance DUSTBUSTERS. We'll then hear music from Val Maly and Koyoti, who will take us on a celestial journey of breakbeats and techno. The party has a quiet(er) zone that serves as a SaferSpace and there is also a ground-level, wheelchair-accessible cloakroom.

Cochon de Cauchemar with DUSTBUSTERS (Performance)
The home is an environment that crystallizes many paradoxes in our patriarchal society, which associates the private sphere with female* socialization: A place of fulfillment, but also of alienation. A place of control, but also of disempowerment... The perfect place to embrace obsessions and satisfy compulsions. Long fascinated by pop-cultural tropes of tyrannical mothers and neurotic housewives, Nympho-Ménage [they] celebrates in DUSTBUSTERS their domestic and traumatic heritage, by paying tribute to the female family figures who have terrorized, impressed, and shaped them to become a "Domestic Dominator". Performance starts at 21:30.

Easy Read

You can dance and feel sexy at the Messy Party. It's a party for disabled and queer people, but everyone else can come, too. There are various things to discover at the party. There is a quiet room where you can always go. There is a changing room where people in wheelchairs can go. There are DJs at the party who are also queer and disabled. They play music for dancing.

Sign Language Interpretation

During Messy, a DSGS interpreter will be present between 21:30 and 23:30 to ensure smooth exchanges between the party-goers.
